Obedience to His Will

God’s question to us in this hour, “will you be obedient to the point of death?”

ACTIVITY 1: Review the 2 scenarios of the image of God Nicole had in her vision/dream encounter (2:40-3:21). In order to be obedient to the point of death we have to address our fear because fear is not an excuse for disobedience. Ask the Holy Spirit:

  • What fears do I have regarding God’s love and/or my prophetic calling/destiny?

  • How does the orphan spirit manifest in my life? (not giving, afraid of failing, gluttony, etc,.. *LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ORPHAN SPIRIT HERE*

    • Search, “orphan spirit Christian” and you’ll find lots of resources and information.

  • What am I afraid of dying to? / What am I afraid of giving up to the Holy Spirit?

(8:40-9:48) With maturity comes OBEDIENCE to the point of death. Many of us want to grow in the things of God but we will not be obedient to the point of death. We will obey when the blessing is clear, when there isn’t too much pain but what happens when the SPIRIT OF GOD calls you into a season of living in the prison (reference to Joseph’s Story, Genesis 37-50). You have the promise, you know your purpose but will you submit to what is required?

The Lord says, “there is more death required of you. I am proud of you. You have gotten so much stronger but all the death that you have experienced was only to prepare for the next season of resurrection power. This resurrection power will motivate you to enter into new levels of death, new levels of consecration, new levels of surrender. When you see the fruit of the death of the last season, it will motivate you to enter into more death.”

The Lord says, “your death is not for your own personal blessings but so that you might be a blessing to others. This is why you must die: for the sake of the Kingdom.”

ACTIVITY 2: REFLECT ON THIS PROPHETIC WORD.

WHERE DOES IT RESONATE WITH YOU? Write down your reflections.

True maturity is coming to serve, not to be served (Matthew 20:28).

So often we are willing to die because we see how it personally benefits us but what happens when God calls us to suffer and it has NOTHING to do with us, no direct benefit to us.

God wants to remind you that He sees you and your reward is in Heaven.

(Matthew 6:19-21, 26-28) *read these scriptures*

Will you die for his plans and purposes? Will you die for revival?

ACTIVITY 3: Our lack of faith (Ephesians 6:13) can cause us to forfeit the promises of God. What is hindering my faith? ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT: How can I grow in my faith in this season?

ACTIVITY 4: ASK HOLY SPIRIT: What does death look like for me in this season? (fasting, humility, not getting offended, praying for your enemies, etc,..)

ACTIVITY 5: What is the promise on the other side of my death? Reflect with the Holy Spirit on the fruit that is to come for your obedience.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” HEBREWS 12:1-2

PRAYER POINT(S):

  • Ask the Holy Spirit for “grace to die” to your fears and your flesh (14:20-30)
